Dental X-rays
X- Rays are normally taken for two reasons:
- To help us reach a correct diagnosis.
- Provide proper care and treatment.
We take no more than is absolutely essential.
- All staff are trained in the safe use of the X-ray equipment which is carried out under the direct supervision of the dentist.
- The equipment is checked regularly by the Medical Physics Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
- Use is made of the latest advanced X-ray film processing machines to minimise the risk of faulty films and therefore unnecessary retaking of X-rays
If you have any concerns about the use of X-rays, please discuss them with your dentist.
