CEREC in Dentistry

CEREC® stands for CEramic REConstruction and is one of the most exciting  & innovative new technologies in dentistry; the application of industrial CAD/CAM techniques to the restoration of individual teeth.

CEREC is an in-surgery computer system that allows us to replace damaged tooth structure with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible. This is all done while you are in the treatment room; in one visit.

An anmalgam filling normally restores a tooth to around 50% of its original strength.
A composite (plastic) filling restores a tooth to around 75% of its original strength.
A CEREC restoration restores a tooth to around 95% of its original strength!

With CEREC there are NO impressions, No temporary restorations, NO waiting a week or two while the laboratory fabricates the restoration and NO second appointment.

All-ceramic inlays (fillings), veneers and crowns that look and feel like natural teeth, can be made and fitted in a single appointment. A great advantage in today's life style.
