Dental decay and consequently fillings, are not inevitable!
If you have a high rate of dental decay, The Dental Practice would recommend the following:
- Brush twice a day with a toothbrush containing
fluoride and triclosan; an anti-bacterial agent,
- Reduce the frequency of your sugar intake,
- Reduce the frequency of your fizzy/diet drink
intake.
- Attend for regular dental check-ups and dental
hygienist visits; at least every six months.
|
 |
- Assessing your dental decay risk based on
past and present decay,
- Treating your existing decay painlessly,
- Investigating your diet,
- Giving you dietary and cleaning (oral hygiene)
advice,
- Applying topical fluoride where appropriate,
- Coating unfilled teeth with fissure sealant,
- Planning further check-ups and X-rays at appropriate
intervals based on your dental decay risk.
