Stella Maris Dental was established in 1984 by Dr. Hani Namih B.D.S.U.B'ham M.F.G.D.P.(U.K).
It has since grown to a team of dentists, dental hygienists and supporting professional staff. All the dentists and staff undergo regular training courses to update their knowledge and skills in accordance with current regulations for dentists and dental staff.

Appointment information
Your dentist will always try to see you at the appointed time. If you are kept waiting there is normally a good reason. Our policy is to inform you of the reason for any delay.
Recall Appointments
Dental treatment by dentists rendered on a sporadic basis is little better than no treatment at all. It is only with regular examinations that we can assure you of optimal oral health (please refer to the oral cancer leaflet provided). Routine dental health check-ups with your dentist or hygienist also help to keep down the cost of dental treatment.Once you have completed your course of treatment, your recall appointment with your dentist will be arranged for you before leaving. In most cases this is in six months' time, although some patients need to visit the dental hygienist at two or three monthly intervals as well as visiting their dentist. You will be advised as to what is appropriate for you.
Missed Appointments/ Late Cancellations
If you are unable to keep to your appointment with the dentist, please give us at least 48 hours notice. This enables us to make alternative arrangements. Others who may be in pain can be offered the appointment. Missed appointments or late cancellations with a dentist (less than 48 hours) must regrettably carry a charge (for details of charges please ask the reception desk staff).Emergency dentist in Birmingham If you have an emergency and need a dentist during normal opening times, please telephone reception immediately. An appointment will be made for a dentist to see you as soon as possible. We have times allocated for dentist emergencies every day. If you have a problem outside normal hours, please ring the practice where a message is always present on the answerphone. This informs you what to do and gives you the telephone numbers of our dentist deputising service, who provide a round-the-clock service every day of the year. Please use this service in real emergency only. This number is also available on your emergency dental services card.Please remember that no one knows your dental history like your dentist. Whenever at all possible it is preferable to wait and see your own dentist.As a general guideline, the following are normally regarded as dental emergencies which require early attention by a dentist:
- Bleeding from a tooth socket after an extraction.
- Facial swelling which is worsening rapidly.
- Trauma to mouth or teeth.
Dental pain which settles down or reduces after the taking of analgesics (Paracetamol/Aspirin etc.) is not a dental emergency and does not require immediate attention by a dentist. Patients who attend their dentist regularly for dental care and treatment normally have less dental emergencies.
